Brushy Creek Regional Trail Experience nature, history and community as you enjoy an afternoon excursion along Brushy Creek Regional Trail. The newest opening of phase III brings the trail to an impressive length of 6.75 miles and has extensive landscaping and scenic views. The trail meanders along Brushy Creek from east of Great Oaks Drive, west to US 183 in Cedar Park. The parks that lie along the trail provide many different amenities accessible to walkers, runners and bikers. Together, the parks have a collaboration of splash pads, swimming areas, climbing rocks, fishing docks, canoeing and kayaking, restrooms and multiple picnic and pavilion areas. The trail links residential communities, businesses and retail centers and existing and proposed parks while promoting conservation and stewardship of open space, greenbelts and wetlands. Southwest Williamson County Regional Park Williamson County Regional Park offers eleven soccer fields, two softball fields, a football field circled by a 400-meter track, eight tennis courts, six basketball courts and a playscape. A mid-depth area for older children will include a crossing activity and basketball. Two lanes to accommodate lap swimmers as well as a large dive platform and drop slide will also be installed within the facility. Many pavilions are available for rent throughout the facility for groups large and small. Lake Creek Trail Lake Creek Trail is approximately 1.5 miles long and runs along Lake Creek connecting Parmer Lane to Broadmeade Avenue, crossing through the Town and Country Optimist Fields. Town and Country rules apply to sections of the trail that go through their area. This trail was built by Williamson County, a private developer, and a pedestrian easement with Town and Country. The trail serves as a neighborhood pedestrian way, which connects the neighborhood, Town & Country, and the school. The primarily concrete trail includes one free-span pedestrian bridge and two low water crossings. The trailhead has 20 parking spaces and park benches situated on 13 acres.
