On Oct. 1, 2014, the Texas Real Estate Commission publicized the Texas Relocation Report focusing on migration trends. Here are the highlights:
- Texas gained more out-of-state residents than any other state in the United States in 2013.
- Texas was ranked third for the most residents moving out of the state in 2013.
- Texas is the No. 2 growth state in the United States.
- Williamson County (No. 3), Hays County (No. 4) and Travis County (No. 9) were among the top 10 counties for largest net gain of people in 2013.
- For the largest net gain of out-of-state people, Williamson County ranks 5th and Travis County ranks 3rd.
